SD is the development that focuses on meeting the needs of the current generation while preserving the environment, strengthening social justice, promoting gender equality and equity, promoting culture heritage, economic well-being for all, and preservation of various ecosystems for our future generation. Our community are faced with the above SD issues and as an institution that is supposed to embrace SD as a learning process to build capacity to live sustainably, it’s curriculum is not informed by SD and ESD principles. Thus the implication of our ESD change project is to come up with curriculum implementation innovations to embrace the SD and ESD principles in the training of teachers. The two definitions of SD is a reminder that our ESD change project responds to SD issues and acts as a learning process for sustainable living.
