AnonymousI am James Zimba from Karonga Teacher Training College in Malawi. I am in the department of Sciences and Mathematics.
I joined this course in order to take part in sharing skills, knowledge, attitudes about the Change project that my Institution has ever started doing.
As a college, we have done tree planting on the open grounds at our institution, this has contributed a lot on promoting vegetative cover of our institution. staff and students use the trees as shade when it is shinning.
we started another project with students on solid waste management. this one is piloted at Karonga Town Council market with the aim of promoting communities to take part in caring for their surroundings at home and market place. the same initiative is practiced by student teachers at the institution.
I find this course to very enriching because there is need to expand the project to other places including Teaching Practice Schools in our catchment area.
