I am Dr Dumsile Winile Nyembe, a lecturer at Ngwane Teachers College in Eswatini. I decided to join the programme because I lecture at a teacher training college who will get out there and teach learners who will be required to possess sustainable development acumen. As the programme itself implies, sustainability begins with teachers, hence the need for our institution to produce teachers of this calibre. Our initial change project as an institution will involve all departments with supply of resources. The Science and Health Education department will be involved in safety of the environment and human health of methods used. The Arts and Crafts department will be extensively involved in that it is where the work will actually be done. Students will be trained on art skills in using scrap paper to produce aesthetic crafted works. The whole institution will be involved in sponsoring this change project which will repurpose the large amounts of scrap paper generated in the institution.
