Welcome to the Training of Trainers’ Teacher Leaders Course

This programme prepares institutional trainers to facilitate the Sustainability Starts with Teacher Leaders Course and lead its roll-out within universities, teacher training colleges, or partner institutions.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

Facilitate and support the Sustainability Starts with Teacher Leaders Course.
Guide learners in developing ESD Change Projects.
Use LearnDash and digital tools to enrol, track, and support participants.
Develop and present a Strategic Roll-Out Plan for your institution.

ToT Course Roll-out Plan

The Training of Trainers Course follows four phases:

Phase 1 – Pre-Course Workshop (outside this online course)
- Registration, onboarding, and orientation with leaders feedback and USAT results.
Phase 2 – Online Course Participation
- Learn about the Sub-Saharan Africa Teacher Leadership for Education for Sustainability (SSATL-ESD) project, digital transformation, and digital facilitation methods. Complete ToT Modules 1–3.
Phase 3 – National Engagement & Institutional Roll-Out
- Work in institutional teams during national workshops to draft a Strategic Roll-Out Plan.
Phase 4 – Sharing & Reflection
- Present and refine your institutional plan with partners in a final online session.

Course Structure

This Training of Trainers course consists of 3 modules and 2 assignments, designed to build your confidence in facilitating the Sustainability Starts with Teacher Leaders course.

Module 2: Digital Transformation in ESD Training and Assignment 2
Module 3: Facilitating the Sustainability Starts with Teacher Leaders Course and Assignment 3
Assignment 4: Institutional Strategic Roll-Out Plan (upload required)

To Get Started
