Navigating the Course in LearnDash

LearnDash is a Learner Management System (LMS) built on WordPress. It allows educators and institutions to create, deliver, and manage online courses. In the Sustainability Starts with Teacher Leaders Course, LearnDash provides both the learning environment for participants and the management tools for facilitators.

As a Group Leader, you have a focused dashboard that gives you limited administrative privileges, just enough to manage the groups you’re assigned to.

  • By default, this dashboard is accessed from the WordPress Admin area, but it can also be moved to the front-end using add-ons for easier access.
  • Your role as Group Leader is to monitor, support, and guide learners in your group using the tools available on this dashboard.

  • View a list of all groups you lead.
  • Access learner lists for each group.

  • See the full list of all enrolled learners in your group(s).
  • Drill down into individual learner progress.

  • Send direct messages to all users in one or more groups.
  • Use for reminders, encouragement, or important updates.

  • Download progress reports in CSV format.
  • Summaries include course completions, quiz scores, and learner activity.

  • Manage, review, and grade assignments submitted by learners.
  • Provide feedback directly through the system.

  • Review, manage, and grade essay submissions from learners.
